The Centre de formation du Nipissing is a non-profit and charitable organization that supports adults in building practical skills for everyday life, work and personal goals.
For more than 35 years, CFN has evolved alongside the needs of its community while maintaining the same priority: providing adults with a welcoming place to learn, become more independent and move toward their goals.
OUR MISSION
Helping Each Person Move Toward Their Goals
The Centre de formation du Nipissing supports adults in building the skills they need to participate more fully in their everyday lives, workplaces and communities.
We believe learning should start with the person: their existing skills, strengths, circumstances and what they want to achieve.
Our role is to create the conditions that allow each person to learn, become more independent and progress at their own pace.
People come before programs.
Each learning path is built with the person, based on their goals, their starting point and the direction they want to take.

Since 1989, the Centre de formation du Nipissing has been part of the region’s Francophone community. Its mission goes beyond skill development: it also helps adults participate more fully in the social, cultural and economic life of their community.

The Centre de formation du Nipissing has served the region since 1989. Over the years, needs, tools and ways of learning have evolved, but its purpose remains the same: to support Francophone adults in building skills that help them move forward in their lives, workplaces and communities.
OUR GOVERNANCE
An organization supported by its community
The Board of Directors plays an essential role at CFN. It oversees the organization’s operations and helps ensure sound management.
The Board is made up of volunteers from a variety of backgrounds and areas of expertise in the North Bay and West Nipissing communities. Members are elected each year at the Annual General Meeting.
